Energy?

Do energy drinks really give you energy? If so what is the outcome on your bodies health? Why do most energy drinks result in a crash of energy after?

Most energy drinks give you from 70-200mg of caffeine per can. A drink such as Bang can give you up to 300mg. (caffineinformer)  

Of course, the benefit of energy drinks is the energy it gives you when you consume them, but is consuming too much caffeine dangerous?

Seeing all of the ingredients in the energy drinks, now its time to find out what these combined ingredients do to our bodies.

 Large amounts of caffeine may cause serious heart and blood vessel problems such as heart rhythm disturbances and increases in heart rate and blood pressure. (NCCIH) 

Increasing any bodily function can be very dangerous considering the body is made to run the way it is built and damaging it can result in many things and could even result in death.

Are they good for you?

Now that we know how energy drinks work and how they affect our bodies, the real question is...Are they good for us?

           Energy drinks can deliver on some of their promised benefits by increasing brain function and helping you function when you're tired or sleep-deprived.
